São Paulo Metro company published on this Wednesday (18) the invitation to bid for the formulation of the functional projects for Line 20-Pink, planned to connect the districts of Lapa and Moema, and also for the extension of Line 2-Green up to the vicinity of Rua Cerro Corá, in Lapa, West Zone of São Paulo. This is the first effective step for the construction of these lines, but the basic and executive projects also will be necessary.
The pink line should pass through Avenida Brigadeiro Faria Lima and have 13 stations on 12.3 kilometers. In April, Governor Geraldo Alckmin announced that the line will be built in partnership with the World Bank. The consultancy for the new line and three other works will cost $1.47 million, according to Alckmin.
Line 2-Green will receive its extension branch at the end which is currently located at Avenida Heitor Penteado, in Vila Madalena. At the other end, which is currently located in Vila Prudente, the State carries out the construction of a monorail that will come to the region of São Mateus. On Oratório Station, it will also connect with another expected line, 15-White.
