Railway Magazine Award 2026 – Check out the competitors and voting opening

The list of competing companies in the categories of the Railway Magazine Award 2026 is already defined. In total, 25 sectoral categories will receive votes from the Electoral College, responsible for selecting outstanding organizations in the Brazilian railway market.

In this edition, by decision of the Award Organizing Committee (COP) in line with the market, category 24 — previously called Best Metro-Railway Representative (Goods & Services) — was divided into two. Thus, category 25 now exists – Best Service Provider Company, while category 24 takes on the new name of Best Business Development (representatives and trading companies).

How winners are chosen

Winning companies are elected by the railway market itself through cross-voting in the Electoral College. In addition to voting, the definition of award winners will also take into account the performance of companies throughout 2025, according to information submitted in the participation registration.

Voting opening

The voting phase will begin on Tuesday, June 16. Electoral College participants will receive a unique and exclusive link — sent throughout the day and on subsequent days — through which they must assign a score of 1 to 5 to each competing company in the categories for which they were qualified, in addition to direct voting in the Standard Railway categories.

Registrations to join the Electoral College remain open. Professionals working in the railway sector can register and participate in voting. Voting is individual and confidential and will under no circumstances be disclosed.

Railway Professional of the Year 2026

Engineer Vicente Abate, president of the Brazilian Railway Industry Association (ABIFER), was chosen by the COP as Railway Professional of the Year in the Railway Magazine Award 2026. With 47 years dedicated to the sector, Abate is recognized for his work in defense of the national industry, for strengthening the institutional development of the segment, and for strategic coordination between private enterprise, government, and representative entities.

Winners Announcement

Winners will be announced during a celebratory dinner on August 20, 2026, in São Paulo. Participation is by subscription.
