The government plans to open in early May the bidding process for the bullet train, linking Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo and Campinas.
The term, however, for companies to submit proposals will exceed 60 days more than the original agreement. This is because, according to government source, the companies requested more time to formalize more concrete proposals.
By the end of April, the government must answer technical questions posed by the Court of Audit on the bullet train. Only after answering TCU, the government will launch the bid.
