Hitachi, the Japanese technology conglomerate, is talking to companies in both Brazil and India, in order to find partners to reach agreements regarding operations within the railway segment within the space of one year, said Gaku Suzuki, who is leading the company’s industrial and social infrastructure operations.
The markets (in Brazil and in India) are growing rapidly and we need to act quickly, said Mr. Suzuki.
The executive also says that Brazilian and Indian conglomerates with operations related to rail services in their business portfolios are prospective partners.
Mr. Suzuki’s comments came about after Hitachi had earlier announced an operational and investment partnership with Toyo Denki Seizo, a Japanese manufacturer of electric components.
