The call for proposals for the implementation of the LRV (Light Rail Vehicle), that will connect the railway outskirts of Salvador to the neighborhood of Comércio, will be disclosed in August. The statement was made in this Friday (31) by the Interior Secretary Bruno Dauster during the event where the details of the equipment’s construction project were presented to representatives of the companies, in the Hotel São Salvador. CTB CEO (Transports Company of Bahia), Eduardo Copello, also attended the meeting, together with the technical staff of Sedur (State’s Urban Development Secretary) and CTB. The meeting enabled businessmen to solve their doubts on the project. The LRV, which will substitute the current outskirts train, will have 18,5 kilometers of extension and 21 stations. The bidding settles two phases of interventions – the first one, between Comércio and Plataforma, with 9,4 kilometers, and the second one between Plataforma and São Luiz, with nine kilometers. The investment is estimated in R$ 1,1 billion.
