The port of Santos will receive by the end of the semester another nine trains for Line 4 (Yellow) of the Sao Paulo Metro, affirmed ViaQuatro, the concessionaire which manages the new line. The trains will come from the port of Masan, in South Korea. The landing will be released in the maritime terminal of Deicmar, on Saboó pier, like the five first trains that arrived before in Santos.
The first trains, composed by six cars, arrived by the end of 2009 and the beginning of January. The fifth train was unloaded on February 3, and left the South Korean port of Masan in December 27th on a Scan Atlantic ship.
On January 27th, another two trains were unloaded on the pier of Santos. The trains were transported by a S. Fighter ship.

The first two new trains of Line 4 arrived at the beginning of January. The first one left the port of Masan in October 28th, and arrived at Deicmar in the beginning of 2010. The train came in a Thor Spirit ship. The second one, which left Korean on December 5, was transported by S. Partner and left in the port of Santos in the middle of January.
After the unloading, the cars are transported by trucks to Sao Paulo. There, the units stay at Vila Sonia courtyard, where the tests, washing and painting takes place.
The trains were constructed by a Siemens Mobility and Hyundai Rotem consortium, in South Korea. The first phase will have 14-six car trains.
With the expansion of the line, Sao Paulo will have more 74 km of railways. With a 12,8 km extension, Line 4 will connect Luz station, in the center of Sao Paulo, to Vila Sonia.
