This is how the Metropolitan Transportation Secretary describes CPTM and subway situation in the city of São Paulo.
Jurandir Fernandes visited our studios today to participate in the program Manhã Bandeirantes.
Interviewed by Agostinho Teixeira, he acknowledged that the expansion and modernization of subway and CPTM fleets are not able to keep up with demand growth.
And he states that although there was a long period without investments, transport works have continued without interruption for many years.
Regarding CPTM, for example, he points to the fleet renewal as an important improvement.

During the interview, the Transportation Secretary promptly answered to several questions from listeners.
He talked about subjects that ranged from Subway Line 4 stations’ cleaning to more serious issues such as overcrowding and accidents at Bras Station.
The Secretary stated that steps are already being taken and that the situation should improve as the system expansion is completed.
During the program, the Secretary also confirmed the return of regional rails for passengers in São Paulo.
And that the price of Line 13 tickets, which will connect the capital to Guarulhos Airport, will be the same as of the Subway.
