Last week, the railway company CBTU Natal received a new vehicle that will integrate the Company’s fleet. It’s a road-rail truck. It can drive through roads as well as rails, which will make transportation of material and equipment easier for the maintenance of the permanent way, mainly in places where the access is not possible with common vehicles.
The speed during the permanent way’s maintenance is the may advantage of this kind of vehicle, once this activity was done necessarily during the pauses between trips, using trains and an special board for the movement of material.
This equipment acquisition is part of the railway restructuring, fostered by the Federal Government, by means of the City Ministry (Ministério das Cidades).
