Randon reverses profit into loss at the order of BRL 4.5 million on the 3rd quarter

Randon, manufacturer of highways implements, rail wagons and auto parts, had a loss at the order of BRL 4.5 million on the third quarter, reversing a net consolidated profit at the order of BRL 32.7 million recorded on the same period of 2014.

The company’s net income has retreated 3.8% on the same comparison base, to BRL 853 million, and the profit before interests, taxes, depreciation and amortization (Ebitda) has retreated 55.8%, to BRL 42.5 million. The performance is a reflection of the sales drop continuation noted since the beginning of the year.

From July to September, Randon physical highways sales dropped 25.3%, to three thousand unities, while at the auto parts segment, drops varied from 7.1% to 42.1%. Exception was wagons sales which increased 281.9%, to 611 vehicles.

Exports increased 30.9%, to BRL 149.6 million, favored by the depreciation of Real. In American Dollar, however, there was a drop of 12.5%, to US$ 43.7 million, due to economic problems and currency depreciation in South America and Africa countries.
