The President Dilma Rousseff wants to keep Bernardo Figueiredo as the head of Agência Nacional de Transportes Terrestres (ANTT – National Land Transport Agency). His four-year term will expire in February 2012.
ANTT runs some of the main logistic projects currently in the country, as the new regulations from railroad and highway industries. The Agency also leads the project regarding the high-speed train, besides inspecting the concession for new highways.
This Wednesday, the name of Bernardo Figueiredo was indicated by the presidency for the Congress’ approval. To be reaccepted for the job, Bernardo will have to answer an Inquiry before the National Congress.
