Line 13-Jade of the Companhia Paulista de Trens Metropolitanos (CPTM), which will connect the east zone of São Paulo to Cumbica Airport, will be constructed by two consortiums: one formed by the companies Consbem, Serveng and Tiisa (batches 2 and 4) and the other formed by the companies Heleno & Fonseca, Trail and Spavias (1 and 3). The names were disclosed yesterday by the company.
Serveng is one of the companies investigated by the Administrative Council of Economic Defense (Conselho Administrativo de Defesa Econômica – Cade) for alleged cartel in work of the Metrô at Distrito Federal. In a note, Serveng informed that its action is based in a strict fulfillment of the law and that it will provide clarifications for Cade.
Works will begin this year – with delay, according to the original schedule disclosed by Governor Geraldo Alckmin (PSDB), who expected the beginning for March. In the original schedule, the construction would be finished by 2014.
The total value of these contracts if US$ 479 million. The entire enterprise, with the purchase of trains and systems, will cost US$ 914 million.
