Espírito Santo should attend the discussions on the deployment of the national broad-gauge railroad network. The declaration was made by Bernardo Figueiredo, General Director at ANTT (National Agency for Land Transportation), during a meeting in the office of Governor Renato Casagrande, on this Thursday (8).
According to Figueiredo, there was a progress in the proposal for concession of BR 101 with the contribution of the entrepreneurial sector and the Government of Espírito Santo, and the expectation is that an integrated work should occur for the railroad. The director at ANTT also stated that the first work meeting for the preparation of a project for the railroad should occur next month.
According to Renato Casagrande, the state of Espírito Santo may attract new investments, including a railroad connecting the state with Rio de Janeiro. The governor also said that Espírito Santo also needs other federal investments to maintain the economic organization and growth capability, as in the case of roads, port and airport, in addition to looking for new port borders for the State.
